The thought of a Jewish wedding conjures images of standing under a Chuppah, repeating the ancient blessings amongst family and friends, the ritual stomping of the wine glass. But these symbols represent the start of a new life together, vows taken according to ancient laws of Israel. How does a couple reinterpret these rituals for a current experience? That’s my role. Whether you are both Jewish, interfaith, converting, same sex, divorced or any combination that today’s world embraces, I, too, embrace your desire to marry Jewishly. It is a privilege as a rabbi to guide you through this process, culminating in your joining together in sacred partnership.
Links in the library will guide you to many resources that can answer a lot of questions and I’m here to help you navigate this journey — through pre-marriage counselling, ceremony prepartion, the day of your marriage and beyond.
It is important to find a rabbi who is right for you.
Best wishes,
Rabbi Corinne Copnick
